Noobie tuning devices

Im upgrading turbo, intercooler, fuel system, exhaust, etc, etc.
So I need to tune everything.

Ive decided I have 2 options on this.

Option # 1

a) SAFC 2

b) mmcd datalogger

c) eprom chip

Option #2

a) DSMLink

I already have the EPROM, but I dont think I could get the full potential of DSM link, since I dont have any clue how to tune timing, or fuel for that matter. But the SAFC doesnt seem to complicated.

I already have the SAFC2, but DSMLink seems like the optimal choice since it doesnt lie to the ECU to get the results.

What would you do???

thanks for any help, advice, or guidance in the right direction! :D

DSMLink, and I don't have a clue how to tune either. However, I did download the DSMLink manual and it has helped to explain things a lot better.

DSMlink is not very hard to tune with. If you can successfully use an AFC you can most likely figure out a DSMlink. Yeah its quite a bit more involved but still uses the same principles.

Now AEM EMS thats a totally different story all together.

With your mods though, you don't really need a DSMlink. A SAFC would be just fine.

You could do all the tuning in the EPROM chip, but that is not the simple way to go. A generic chip setup for your injectors and MAF plus an S-AFC would be fairly easy to tune.

Its all what youre comfortable with... EEPROM gives you lots of options but you have to be able to tune it or be willing to pay someone to tune it.
