Your right, we do have some choices in purchases, and I work it all the time by shopping on line whenever I can. And now they want to start taxing online sales as well! Cause "They are losing too much revenue", that means WE THE PEOPLE are KEEPING MORE of OUR OWN money, I should say soon it will be we used to save Tax money by shopping online.
Did you know that Mn sales tax only started in 1962 and was only suppose to only be a temporary tax? 44 years later the "temporary tax" is still enforced to the tune of Billions!
Never forget another choice we have is who we put in office!

All I'm trying to say is we all need to take a little time and energy to keep them honest! Otherwise my kids Taxes will be even higher than ours, and he'll only be able to afford the cheap leaky Diapers for his old man....:-P
