I used to have Yokohama AVS ES100's on my Talon and liked them a lot. The wet performance was amazing. The ZRi's had every bit of the dry performance of the AVS's, but were not quite as good in heavy rain.
I had a set of Nittos on the VR4 before I got the Potenza RE 750's and I did not like them at all. Garbage in the rain and not the stickiest of tires in the dry. They were NT555's I think.
ES100's, ZRi's, and Sumitomos are all pretty good tires if you dont want to spend a lot. If you have a bit more money though, be careful. Its easy to spend a lot of money on junk when it comes to the middle and high end summer tires.
Dunlops are to be avioded and generally arent worth the rubber they're made out of.
