Well what you need is to not street tune.
You need a dyno or a closed environment where you can moniter the engine properly and gains/losses associated with making changes. Good luck trying to do that on the highway when you are also worried about loosing your license (remember boys and girls 100+mph and they can and probably will yank your license).
Track or dyno, only 2 places to tune.
