Yes I will be racing at some point they actaully race bikes at CMP regularly (twice a month for the whole weekend, and its only 18 miles from me). I don't want to upgrade later. Typical mistake I made with my DSM. (the boots you picked are nice for everyday but don't give as much protection as I'm looking for)

The Joe Rocket race boot looks like they protect better then the Oxtar's at least in the heel part of the boot. I just am not sure if my jeans will go over my boot or not (ie: the heels part looks like it sticks out to far)

The Oxtars would match my outfit better. But being white Not sure how long they'll stay that way. I am almost positive that my jeans will go over them so when I ride you'd only see the bottom part of the boot. The only time you'd see the whole boot is when I race, when you tuck your pants into the boot. But I'm not sure if they protect better then the joe rockets. It looks like the toe sliders are much better on the Oxtars and the contortion system they have for the toes, that the Joe Rockets don't have.

I guess each boot has its pro's and cons. Not sure if anyone who rides would know what I should be looking for. Jet is the only one I know that raced before what do you think? Anyone else who rides please chime in.
