I would suggest an electric heater over anything. It doesn't need ventilation and you just have to plug it in and go. Any heater that requires fuel (wood, propane, kerosene) need ventilation. I have a kerosene torpedo heater and while it works quite well it is a little noisy and needs ventilation. After a while your clothes smell like you've been riding a snowmobile and if you don't have good ventilation your eyes will begin to burn.
