Is this what helps evos make so much more power out of the box than dsm's?

Just looked up some specifics:
My HKS 280's have 10.8mm/10.2mm (.425"/.408") of lift (272's are the same).
HKS 272 DSM cams are 10.3mm/9.8mm (.405"/.385").
