You can't actually play PS3 games on your PSP, only PS1 games right now. I definitely recommend the PS3 as this year is the year for it. Plenty of new features are going to be released with the new firmware updates, and tons of sweet games (MGS 4, Killzone 2, GT5, HOME(not really a game but looks cool)).

360 only has about 1 year left in her before she kicks the bucket anyways. And the systems have a 33% failure rate comared to 3% or less on the PS3.

Get a PS3 :P
