As someone who has spent years at the local circle tracks. You can get a lot to slide in the Hornet class I bet. Most of the tech guys are old school domestic guys. They don't know or care to know much about these newer imports. The class doesn't race for much money either, so tech isn't emphasized as much as the higher/faster classes.
With that in mind, you seem to be on the right track with keeping costs down.

Thanks man! I figured this would be a great way to start out in circle racing as I would like to eventually get into the bigger classes. I want to make sure it is something I really want to do and would like to see if I can turn corners in a field with multiple cars no the track. I figured it would be a good way to build track experience and pad a resume to obtain sponsors later down the road.
