First off, deficits aren't bad.
I'll bet you didn't know that even though tax
rates (for every tax payer) were lower under President Bush tax receipts expressed in
total dollars were higher than they had been in years. This meant that even though we were steadily growing our deficit by a good margin, our GDP was growing fast enough to keep up.
Growing our GDP at the same or faster rate than our deficits means that our deficit can be 500 trillion dollars and it wont matter so long as our GDP is at a safe level above that.
I think it's funny that you say people are mad because President Obama hasn't changed anything yet. It seems to me that he has done quite a bit more in his first 100 days than most, if not all Presidents (and I sure wouldn't argue that what he has done is good for the American people in the long term).
