Yes the wastegate is what makes boost but with a leak to the wastegate you would get to much boost no to little. But im still for boost leak or ignition problems. I would just take it to MAP or DB and be done with it

Thanks for your input. But I don't think I am in over my head this is just the first turbo car I have ever owned and I have learn a lot already about the car.I am making a boost leak tester today and I a getting a laptop so I can see what the AEM is showing what the car is doing.
