I dunno.&nbsp; But I saw a guy in AV tonight w/ a heavily modded WRX that got pulled over for the same thing.&nbsp; I've never liked noise restrictions--they don't apply to motorcycles which defeats the whole purpose--they're the loudest things on the road.
Actually they apply to all motor vehicles, including motorcycles. It is illegal to modify the stock exhaust system in any way that creates any sharp crackling or popping noises. As far as I know, the state of MN doesn't have an exact decible limit, it is up to the officer's discretion. [/b][/quote]
I see... but I guess what frustrates me is that a stock Harley exhaust is louder than just about any 3" Turboback exhaust on a DSM...

I know there are tickets for this w/ pricetags on em--I want to say they're around $80.
I'd try and fight it, especially if "too loud" is determined by the officer, and not a set decibel. :goodluck:
