Mine were clogged so bad they didn't squirt fuel and two cylinders didn't even run. Soaked the tips in maybe 1/2 oz gasoline in a plastic cup and the gas was black within 20 minutes, got new gas for a few minutes and came out clean, the tips were like brand new.

I wouldn't take the time with carb cleaner and a swab, just let them sit for a few minutes in gas.
