OLED is amazing stuff. I can't imagine having an 11mm thick display, especially since LCDs aren't exactly big to begin with.
I have seen both LCD TVs in the store and really didn't notice a difference. If I stared longer I could maybe tell that one white is bright, one black is darker, colors being better, but at a quick glance it wasn't anywhere as obvious as 60hz vs. 120hz. But again, given the choice there's no reason to not get an LED LCD over a regular one as long as the TV suits your needs.
