HA HA HA. Yeah i have made mistakes in the past that have ended up bending many of valves... at least i learned some valuable lessons.
Here are a couple:
- Torque the tensioner pulley to the correct amount. its not supposed to be floating around.
- 5* BTDC is not to be done physically with the belt, its to be done on the ignition with a timing gun.
- Dont leave the socket wrench on the crank pulley and try to start the car.
- Both Dowel pins on the camshafts should be pointed UP. (On 2g cam gears the exhaust cam gear has two white marks. )
im sure there are many more lessons i have learned along the way breaking shit, so i figure i have made every mistake their can be with a dsm so this build should go perfect.
