Jessica and I decided to wait until the black friday sale and will be picking up a 58" Samsung. Current price is $1400 but i figure it will come down that day quite a bit (hopefully).
But another thing that i also realised is that the samsungs do not have Component inputs. Strictly HDMI, which would be fine if my 5 year old receiver actually did more than HDMI Pass Through.

So i will be scouring craigslist for a new receiver that does audio and video upconverting and audio/video HDMI. Found a nice DENON receiver that does everything for like $369, But ill keep looking around. What brands of receivers do you guys like?
My current receiver is a Onkyo HTIB system, Its actually a pretty decent system, 7.1 Surround Dolby DTS etc. I will eventually look toward getting new speakers sometime next year or after we buy a house (so i can throw some nice ones in the wall/ceiling.)
