Up for sale is my daily driver LS400. I'm selling it because I found out that next year at college, freshman aren't allowed to park on campus. In addition, I'm leaving the first week of June to go on a family vacation, and would like to pay off a few people, and have some extra spending money while I'm over there.

In the last 6 months since I purchased the car, the following items have been replaced:

Spark Plugs
Accessory Drive Belt
Accessory Idler Pulley
Auto Tensioner Pulley
Fan Bracket Pulley
Contitech Timing Belt
GMB Water Pump
NTN Auto Tensioner
Gates Timing Idler Pulleys

The previous owner put KYB GR2 struts on it, as well as some slotted and drilled rotors with ceramic pads.

Fresh oil change, air filter, and coolant flush as well.

New plates as of last month, with tabs good for 2011.

Two Federal tires in the front, and two Fuzion HRi's in the back, with decent tread.

I'll also throw in a set of Blizzak WS-15's that I use during the winter season. They have maybe 20-25% life left on them, and would probably be good for one more winter season.

The car has heated leather seats for those cold mornings, toasty heat, and frigid AC. Yep, the AC still works!

Has selectable on/off traction control, seat memory, and telescoping steering wheel. Windows are tinted pretty dark.

258K on the original motor and trans. These things go on forever. The 1UZ-FE is one of the best motors ever made. People on Club Lexus often hit 300-400K.

The body isn't perfect, there are little dents and dings here and there, as to be expected with a 21 year old car. There are a few small rust bubbles starting by the rear fender walls, and a small spot by the roof, but nothing through and through. The car has never been in an accident, and I have the CarFax to prove it.

The steering does pull to the right a little, and it could use an alignment.

It does leak a little oil, but that's sort of expected for it's age. Does not burn any oil.

The LCD for the climate control is burnt out, and as a result does not show any image, the backlighting on the climate control is also out. I'm sure you could find one from another LS400 at the junk yard.

There is a rip in the driver's seat leather, but it's never been a big issue for me, you could find a replacement at the junk yard too.

The car does burn off some power steering fluid. It's a common problem on the first generation LS400s. What happens is the air assist valve leaks over time, and power steering is sucked into the intake plenum, causing it to burn off. Sometimes when starting the car when it has been sitting, it smokes for the first few minutes of start up. I just add a little power steering fluid once a week, it's not a huge issue. If you wanted to, you can by pass the air assist to fix the problem.

Lastly, recently the car developed what I think is a small misfire, I'm thinking I have damaged one of the spark plug wires when doing the timing belt. There is no check engine light, and the car feels like it "stutters" here and there for a split second. I'm thinking one of the wires is arcing out, and it needs a set of new wires. The ones are there are dated from 2004.

I'm asking $2000, and am a bit flexible on the price, being that I need this gone in the next two weeks. With a little TLC I'm sure she'll continue to be a great daily driver for someone here. Give me a text at 612.801.7061, and we can setup a time to view or test drive it. Thanks for looking.
