Permit allows you to buy a handgun same day if you also pass the fed check. I have it as I'm also looking at a handguns, but for rifles you don't need one. Just the form and the fed check, think it's called a NIX check or something.

Also, if anyone hasn't been to Arnzen Arms in EP, go. Such a nice store and the staff is great. Their shop dog is amazing. lol
