Everyone should do this before getting insurance or reanalyzing insurance rates. The number is for the Dept of Public Safety and seems to change randomly, but you can give them a call and ask about removing any older tickets. I think speeding tickets can be removed after 3 years and careless after 5 yrs. It's free and takes 5 minutes.
Another nice tool is to check your (or anyone else's) driving record:

Click "Criminal/Traffic/Petty Case Records" and then go to the "Search By" on the top left to select "defendant" so you can enter your name and see some of the tickets against you. The site doesn't necessarily show all tickets, but may have some old ones that can be removed.
