Dave, what will you have planned for long-term maintenance on the engine, trans, etc then? The kind of numbers you are talking about are going to be murderous on bearings, gears, and axles.
I've talked to several people about tearing into my engine around 20k miles to check on bearings. I think I will drop the oil pan at the end of this season for a bearing check, if they look like shit I will asses further. I'd like to pull the motor myself this next time around if I need to, so we will see how that goes too.

Gears/axles/drivetrain etc will all be fix it when it breaks in my book. I haven't seen enough data showing anything worth upgrading before hand is worth it. The X trans and drivetrain seem awesome. But when stuff breaks I will probably send mine off to Jack's. I'll also probably put a mechanical diff in the rear if that goes too.
