Re: Project Slowbaru

I began routing the front clip wiring harness and found that the existing holes for the original harness were too small. So I had to make it bigger, without it looking like shit afterwards.

Here's how it went down.

Figured out the most aesthetically pleasing way to make a hole big enough to fit part of the fuse block through. I used the contour of an existing bend and followed it down to the next nearest perpendicular seam. I figured it would be easy to follow that edge while cutting.

It ended up like this.

It was big enough, but it didn't look the best.

So I took some new fuel line, cut it down the center and used the seam to hold the hose around the edge.

Now I won't have to worry about the wiring harness rubbing against that sharp edge and shorting my car out! Happy guy so far!

Earlier I applied the split fuel hose technique to clean up the the edge I had to cut on the front bumper to fit the front mount. I wanted it to be as clean as possible so I made sure to make it out of one piece. Leaving only one seam.

I am undecided if I like it. I might use smaller hose to make it less conspicuous.
