I had a friend try to plug in his laptop to eliminate some possible causes of link not being able to connect. He is running link v3 full on his 2g also and the ecu still would not connect. We then plugged in an obd2 CEL logger and it was able to pull codes. Now we can eliminate the Laptop and the OBD2 port being a cause. Any ideas on what it could be? How do I test the link chip?
Another problem now, I redrilled new holes and heli coiled the threads where the exhaust manifold bolts to the head. I went to bolt on the turbo to the exhaust manifold and ended up cross threading the bolts
We'll see how it goes tomorrow when I attempt to remove the bolts and see if its the threads or the bolt thats f*cked up.
