Noticed that the shifter had a noticeable slop in it despite the freshy-fresh tranny, brass bushings, and short shifter. I took apart the console to investigate and discovered that the allen locking bolts had loosened a little on the center ball:
So, took it apart quick and cleaned it up. Then remembered that i like my short shifter to angle left instead of back (maybe because im short?) so i rotated it 90...I can reach it easier now and the slop is gone! Fresh grease in there never hurts either
I had the console apart to begin installing race car parts...unhooked the lower clutch sensor for clutchless engine starts, unhooked seatbelt sensor so i could not be dinged at while wearing this:
80 miles on the clock and I'm real happy so far!
