Quartz is even easier to take care of than Granite. Granite is porous so you should seal it every year or two and it has the potential to stain; Quartz is non-porous so it never needs to be sealed, it won't stain and it's just as durable, heat-resistant, etc as Granite. And since Quartz is manufactured, as opposed to Granite which is quarried, there are more options for colors and patterns.
