Damn, that really pisses me off. Marco and a bunch of other people gave me a lot of shit on a DSMTalk thread for choosing to have a local shop do the machine work on my 2.4 and assembling it myself. I was pretty offended. According to them only Magnus Motorsports and a handful of other shops where qualified to build a DSM engine.

Well instead of dwelling on the negative, I'll try give a positive alternative. I couldn't be happier with the service I got from ********. First rate! Call backs? ***** from ******** called me immediately every time he had a question or had the slightest doubt about what I wanted. And talk about attention to detail, all I asked him to do was bore it to fit my pistons, block off some coolant passages and balance it. Instead of just doing what I said he asked how I planned to assemble it. And made recommendations and corrections to what I was going to do. I was going to use ARP mains but he said it would need to be line bored, so I should either do that or use stock mains. And as for my ROSS pistons he knew all about how they expand (compared to other brands) and took into consideration how I'd drive the car when determining the clearance. For a shop that doesn't specialize in DSMs they sure did a hell of a job!

Good luck with your car Vicious! I hope things turn around for you and you can enjoy your car for a while.
