Well I think I figured something out to get me through until winter time. It's a just a chrome cap with some black duct tape over the top, then sealed it with some black sealant adhesive.
I'm planning on picking up a spare center piece and driver's side piece and filling them smooth with fiberglass this winter and then get them shot with some new paint in the spring.
It turned out better than expected...Not quite sure what that says about my expectations
but either way, it'll do for now.
