Stikx what are you talking about? If you dont know then dont post. QPR does it off site, but they can have it done. Im sure thats how Elite operates also.

And you can usually always resurface the stock flywheel unless it's way out of wack. Just get the correct step.

We usually just bring it to a machine shop near us like Brake & Equipment Warehouse. I think it usually runs around $35-$40.

Weird...I thought I replied here earlier and now I dont see it. But could I just drop my stock flywheel off at QPR and pay them and come back to pick it up later? Or do you guys rather have me just bring it to the machine shop myself? If so, just tell me where it is and I'll that do that instead..thanks.

Re: Flywheel Resurfacing?

Umm, This is in the Elite forum not the QPR forum. In either case depending on where you are at you would probably be better off by bringing it to a machine shop yourself. If your in St Paul then I'd say Kath would be the place to go. Stay away from the NAPA machine shop in St Paul. Or head over to B & E Warehouse like Shane mentioned. Or pick up the yellow pages for head on over to dexonline.com

Re: Flywheel Resurfacing?

Yeah I know this is in the Elite forum, this was for Elite but changed after a few replies and I didnt think starting the same topic in the next forum down would've been any better .
Are you talking about Kath (machine shop) in Little Canada/St. Paul? I'll go over there tomorrow morning when I have nothing better to do.
Thanks again...

Re: Flywheel Resurfacing?

Cool...I'll call them later on today.

That's if I ever get off the computer. Been playing World of Warcraft!

ONE LAST THING...really. I know the stock flywheel step is at .612, but does anyone know what ACT recommends or are they about the same? It shouldnt be lower than .608 and higher than .613, right? You guys are alot of help...

Re: Flywheel Resurfacing?

Get a .610 step. And just about any machine shop should be able to do that for you. Just check the step befor you leave.

Re: Flywheel Resurfacing?

Make sure you specify to Kath to do a .610 step and check it afterward. Red Rooster in bloomington also does a nice job and charges $35 as well. Either place will be done in under an hour, go to whichever is closest to you.

Re: Flywheel Resurfacing?

I am super glad I just found this, looks like red rooster for resurfacing of my stock flywheel at .610 with an act clutch is the ticket!
