Windows Blue Screen of Death

Alright, was just showing Jana the new Robot Chicken Star Wars skit and all of a sudden my laptop (Dell with windows XP) flases the blue screen of death with the hardware malfunction message. I couldn't do anything but hold the power button to shut it down. Started up very slow, restarted it again, and now it seems to be working alright. Anything I should look for ASAP? IN the mean time I am going to transfer and save and such shit as I can to our external. Needless to say if I lost the data on my laptop I'd be fucked with a capital IN THE ASS!

Backup your data asap... but blue screen is common, so it may not be a huge deal. If it keeps reoccuring, then its time to reformat that biotch.

Or a black screen with greem typing. Them are a bitch...Asshole hackers, that's why I don't ICQ anymore.

Blue Screens are common as hell with Windows though, I've never heard of anybody actually being worried about it as much as you.

Well lost a desktop a few years back to the blue screen so I was a bit worried. Everything seems to be ok now, time to clean up and back up though.

yay windows!

Probably just a system crash caused by the video decoder. It'll happen; restart and don't worry about it.

Someone mentioned backing up your data--this should be done anyways!

Don't look at garbage on the internet . visit forums and look at pictures only. videos are ok too, but flash games and vids are the devil.

Re: Windows Blue Screen of Death

It all depends on what the specific error was. From what I've seen, the BSoD is mostly caused by bad RAM. There are free memory tests you can download and run if you'd like.

Re: Windows Blue Screen of Death

I went through and clean some shit up, but I got the blue screen again last night. Went through a check disk this morning and then I got the following error upon start up.

Overall, the laptop just seems really glitchy right now. Especially when looking around the net.

Here is a screen shot of this mornings error.
