The shop is moving!
Alright, everything is in place to move to the new shop in Ham Lake, about 5 miles off 35W. Things have been pretty stagnant with the business the last 18 months, but that is going to change. I had simply outgrown my shop and it wasn't very functional. In the new shop I will have about 1500 sqft at my disposal for the business, instead of 400! 1000 sqft will be just the metal working shop. I will be needing some cars to prototype exhausts and FMIC kits on starting late Jan, so if you need something done I will cut you a great deal if I use the car for prototyping. I will then make up jigs off the car to make future kits from. It will take a couple of extra days to do, but you will save hundreds.
I do have space in the shop right now before the move, but I won't be able to take anything in from Dec 23rd to Jan 15th. Labor rates are still only $40/hr or $50/hr for fabricating. I'll get some pics up of the new shop once everything gets settled in.

Re: The shop is moving!
If anyone wants to be a prototype, put your name, year of car, and if you want FMIC kit or exhaust kit and put a reply in this thread. The exhaust will be a 3" SS turbo back including tubular O2 housing and V-band clamp. The FMIC kit will be 2.5" SS for now, with a 3" version coming later. I will finally have room to store jig's, so this is going to be worth while. Doing them all custom was a waste of time.

Re: The shop is moving!
I would be willing to be a prototype donor. Would I be suppling the core? Is it short route with a rear facing end tanks?

Re: The shop is moving!
I will supply the core, but it will be short route piping. Whoever is first on this list will be the first one called, if you don't want to do it, I will go to the next one. I will likely be using 2 different cores, a cheap one (2.5") and a Garrett core with custom end tanks (3").

With all due respect, JET, how do we know things are going to change? I know I'm not the only one that waited significant periods of time to do business with you in the past and nothing ever came about.

I dont have money right now but I would be interested in a prototype FMIC.

But I have a magnus and a NA Throttle body, and also have an oil cooler that might get in the way so maybe it wouldnt be good for a prototype.

Actually, yes you are. I should have never taken that job because I didn't have a car to do the exhaust on. If you want to bitch about it, make another thread, this one isn't about that. I never took any of your money and I appoligized many times to you, even in person. What else do you want?
Thanks guys, I'll let you know when the time gets closer.

Re: The shop is moving!
I will be starting to prototype late Jan, early Feb. I will be doing several different models, so things will be pretty flexible.

I'm not bitching, I am asking a question because I like what I've seen of your work and would like to do business in the future.

Re: The shop is moving!
Sorry Jakey, things are stressful trying to get the last minute stuff done on the house, and all isn't going as planned. I didn't intend for things with the shop to go the way they did. The shop was just too damn small to be functional, that is why I haven't done as much with it lately. Once I got the TIG, MIG, 50 ton hydraulic press, general tools, etc, there wasn't any damn space left to do anything. The new shop is way bigger, attached to the house and has in floor heating. Life is going to be good! I won't take money for a product unless it is ready to ship out, so there are never any worries in the future.

Re: The shop is moving!
Any interest in making a custom slip-on for my bike? I could provide the mufflers, I just need someone to make something from the flanges where the stock cans bolt on, up to where I want the cans.

Re: The shop is moving!
We went through this already, just buy a real bike exhaust. Those engines are so tweaked that you will likely lose hp if you try to do it yourself. Find a used system if you don't have the cash or just get a slip on if you want the noise.

Re: The shop is moving!
I'm not talking about a full system anymore. Just something to replace the stock cans. I want something high mount, and thought maybe you could do something for me.
