if I get a FMIC do I have to get a new radiator and fan or can I use the stock one?

Re: FMIC question

You can use the stock fans and radiator, they don't have anything to do with a front mount. It is tough running the turbo to inlet on a front mount on 1g's but it does fit.

Re: FMIC question

You don't HAVE to. It makes it way easier, but I made mine work on my Laser. Then again we did a lot of custom fab, and I wanted to keep my power steering and a/c so I did a different routing on my turbo to inlet.

Re: FMIC question

Stock radiator is fine, but you may need to get some slim fans.

Re: FMIC question

If the stock one fits, keep it. Otherwise, two 10" or 12" push fans mounted inbetween the FMIC and the radiator are always a nice solution. Last thing you want is to overheat your car.

Re: FMIC question

Also, I had a Flex-A-Lite FAL dual fan setup on my 2G that was freaking awesome. It mounted on the engine side, but man it did a good job.

Re: FMIC question

I was using the two stock fans with my FMIC until I went to an external wastegate, then I had to remove the AC fan and just recently installed a pusher on that side.

Re: FMIC question

It depends on what turbo you are running, but you will likely have to get a slim line for the one on the driver's side. You can usually keep the pass. side one stock.
