Evo Clutch in a 90 laser

There is a local guy selling a clutch that came off his EVO. Its an ACT clutch setup. Is there any possibility that this could work on my laser? I am thinking no, but just want to be sure. Thanks.

Re: Evo Clutch in a 90 laser

Xtd clutches are great. I have bought 4 of them so fair never had a problem. Just put a 6 puck unsprung in my car works great. in my old talon I had a xtd sprung 6 puck I put that thing thourgh hell and back. Drove home from porkys stuck in thrid gear. Clutch looked new when I pullied it out.

I love my XTD too. I have about 33 launches at grove creek on it and it's still the best clutch I've had.

As well as the physical size being different, and the input shaft spline/size.

Re: Evo Clutch in a 90 laser

For a street car I say you need the sprung hub. From what I have seen SBC is the only company using an almost fully enclosed spring in the hub. I have yet to see a spring fail in a newer style South Bend Cluch hub.
