Can anyone tell me what these lines are for?...PIC

While working on my oil leak issue I saw out of the corner of my eye two hard lines that have nothing going to it. Can anyone help me to identify them please??

Vacuum lines for the emissions system. Not sure what they go to exactly. Possibly the EGR???

They just go from one side of the manifold to the other. You'll see the other side if you look right next to the coilpack on the driver's side.

I will look tomorrow...but are they just open on both ends or connected on the other to the manifold? Should they be capped if they are connected to the maniold or do I need to find a vacuum diagram and hook them up properly?

Do you have a boost leak or something? If not, don't worry about them. I would get rid of EGR and throw the whole bracket away. My guess is that the other side is off also.

Me- "I don't think you would stand a chance."
Cop says "probably not" and drives off.

I HAD the same thing, ditched all my emissions and threw it away. There are 4 metal tubes but only 2 are in use for most cars. Cali. cars use the other 2. They run to the EGR solenoid. It's up to you to ditch em or not.
