What makes a website good...

If you have a second, please go thru out website and tell us what you would like to see on there. www.lseperformance.com

The shopping cart is a work in progress, and we are aware of a few broken links, but what would YOU as a customer like to see on there.

Here are a few of the suggestions we've had made, let us know if you agree/disagree with them.

More shop information?
Huge gallery with pictures?
Maybe a featured rides page?
More info on shop vehicles?
A tech forum?
A 2007 racing calander/events calander?

If you have a suggestion post it up, and we will pass it along to our web developers.

Lightbulb Re: What makes a website good...

I think that you have started out good.
But get all your inventory up, it sucks when people tell you that they got X part from X store, but its not online, Why the F not.
Please don't be one of those companies.

A pic for all items, and a nice useful description please.

As much shop info as possible, email/phone/address/directions.

List of regular rates, i understand there are specials and customers that get a ton of work done will get hooked up, but somewhere to start would be awesome.

List of what you guys do, don't want to lose business cause someone didn't know that you guys provide a certain service.

Events calendar would be cool, i know there are people that would come to certain events you hold, such as a dyno day for say a drifting club, i would still come check it out. I like cars.

Of course a shop vehicle page, list of mods (at least ones you want to tell), dyno graph, track slip.

Dyno chart of top dyno #'s at your facility.

A tech forum, probably not needed. Too many on the net already and yours would just get crowded from other people who think they know and then by people that need to learn to search. Back in the day this might of been a good idea.

I don't think a huge gallery is needed, maybe a collection of all the cars you have worked on. Def. ones that you have built motor's for or something else big.

Well that is all i can think of right now, time to wipe.

Re: What makes a website good...

Looks pretty good to me. As far as the store page, like Aaron said, pictures are nice. Sometimes a picture of the actual item sitting there, not just some generic picture. And yes maybe like a "Customers Rides" page or something is cool. But overall, seems like it's fairly well done. Maybe some more custom job pictures, like custom FMIC or Exhausts you've built. But so far I'd say it's looking good!

Re: What makes a website good...

Treat the viewer as a total newb. For some reason, that helps, people like lengthy explanations what everything does. A full write up on your shop cars is also a big bonus. A little Marco type humor seems to work well too, if you've got it.

Avoid using red font as much as possible. It is difficult to read.

Rewrite this paragraph:
Quote:
As far as the tuning end, we feature 2 EFI 101 and EFI Advanced trained tuners. Josh Swanberg does all the tuning, but if he ever has an issue, he can bounce feedback off John LaCroix. LSE also features AEM EMS trained technicians/tuners.LSE Performance has yet to find any sort of EFI tuning system that we can't figure out or make improvements with.

Pick how the sentences on the website will be seperated and stick with it. I see some sentences which have no spaces between them, some with one space, and some with two spaces.

Re: What makes a website good...

I like the idea of more what you do, pertaining to the welding of your fmic's and such. You must differentiate yourself from the next abc shop. As there is tons in MN to chose from, why should someone choose you guys over the next place? Build up your portfolio. So far, you are on the right track. Also, I have a friend who's big into pictures-he went to school for it. If you want some professional pics taken, or even a panorama pic of the shop perhaps, let me know. PM for his info.
