Me 2! Not to mention that the St. Paul PD made some links with that type of vehicle and gang activity/drug dealing....

Re: Ricer bust in the cities

I remember hanging out at Porkies and watching the tow trucks hauling a lot of cars away after that bust. Thing was, I think a lot of people got tipped off to the bust and avoided Vandalia like the plague that summer. It was a lame spot to even watch racing, railroad tracks, dead end, dumb cars, dumber people, and right off of Uni. People were just asking for trouble.

Re: Ricer bust in the cities

Yeah, I was there that night. It was pretty lame racing crap, but I was bored... I was also the last one let out after many hours of sitting. I caught one of the officers in a bad mood after he was stuck writing down DL numbers all night. He told me if I was ever caught in the vicinity of racing again i would be immediately arrested for it (that's why they were writing the DL numbers). I said that didn't seem right so he threatened to arrest me right there. All the waiting made me appreciate my habit of keeping a spare key in my wallet, because they made everyone put their keys on the top of their cars. I used the spare to listen to some music.

The biggest bullshit though, was that the police justified the raid by saying they were after stolen parts. After seizing every vehicle that had raced they found none.

I'm going to rewatch this video carefully and look for my 944. I miss that car.

God forbid they do their job... I guess every time I've been pulled over, I feel like I deserve it. I know I've done far more things than which I've been ticketed for, so cant really complain too much about it.

Re: Ricer bust in the cities

I ended up being there just because I was bored that night and it was the night before Rock Falls so I went cruising and decided to watch for a bit. Bad idea. Pretty intense once the cops came out, but yeah that place was a crappy place to race. Some guy on here had a red Talon and won all his races, easily. If I remember right, his fine and towing got up to $500 or something.
