Don't ever say the S word again.

Read the Why Do It? part.

Worth it.

I used the parts dinosaur kit. It's cheap.

Re: Balance Shaft Elimination Kit Q

It removes rotating mass in the engine. Less rotational mass has the potential of producing more horse power and torque. I have yet to see a back to back test to show the gains. Also because people are cheap and lazy it also removes the front balance shaft belt that normal is not replaced on a timing belt job, either they did not know it need to be replaced or they did not notice it. This would then break and possible skip or break the timing belt. It will make the engine vibrate more, some people say they do not notice but the factory put them in there for a reason. If you are not building an engine that has a proper balance on it I would leave the balance shafts in, and just buy the balance shaft belt and tensioner when you do a timing belt job. If anyone wants we have a lot of turned down rear balance shafts in stock.
