Slick and Wheel Combos...

Hey guys,
Priceing out some slicks for my car. Only need two (fwd).
a) What size would be good for a 95 GST?
b) Which sites have you seen the best prices/wheel and tire packages?
c) Which brand do you guys prefer?
d) Which compound would work best for track? street?
Ive looked on Jegs but just kinda browsed.
Thanks
Tom

Re: Slick and Wheel Combos...

Hasn't there been like 4 threads about slicks real recent?

I ran 24.5x9.2x15 M&H RaceMasters and loved them. I wouldn't recomend running them on the street though as they are not DOT approved and will wear out in about 100 miles.

Re: Slick and Wheel Combos...

Im running M&H race masters as well. I think mine are 24x9.5x15 I have Kosi K1s for rims. I love mine but I'm afraid they'll be a little small if I make mutch more power. On the street I 'm runnign BALD 245/45/16 Nitto NT550 DR's They hook pretty good for a street tire. 1's and 2nd I can spin the tires any time I want, but with a little practice I can get them to hook. Now that IM running E-85 Ive spun the tires a few times at the top or 3rd gear (always fun a 100mph). I think my next set I'll try the Micky tompsom DR ot the BFG DR.

I seen a couple of the threads, but none with many wheel and tire packages. what offset and size do you get your rims for the slicks?

Re: Slick and Wheel Combos...

I run 16 x 8 kosei k1's on my car. For street tires, I'm looking into a 235/50/16 BFG KDW-2 tire, and for track..borrow Brandon's hoosier QTP's?
