FP3052 just arrived.

Santa came early this year.

I have a couple questions for anybody who has installed one on a 2G.

1. How did you bend the dip-stick tube out of the way of the wastegate?

2. Did the stock A/C fan clear the WG and O2 housing?

3. If you routed the 90 elbow towards the pasenger side, did it clear the engine mount?

Just little things i'd like to know in advance before I start pulling stuff off.

Thanks
J

sweet! Drop it on by my place later, ok?

Seriously though, I don't have a 3052, but let me see if I can help ya:

1) Towards the power steering pump and back towards the block. Carefully.

2) Almost certainly not.

3) It should, as long as the elbow isn't too long. Cut it down if need be.

Get it put together & bring your car to our dyno day on April 30th!

3) you can also clock the housing on the turbo a little if needed

Re: FP3052 just arrived.

Thanks for the replies guys!

After looking at a 35R powered 2G last night at In-n-out It looks like the dipstick should move easily enough and I may just pull the A/C fan temporarily and replace it with somthing slimmer. If I still had the stock radiator I think it would fit.

Metal Man (metalmanfab.com) can't fit me in for 2 weeks to make the O2 housing so there's no real rush right now.

Re: FP3052 just arrived.

I have the stock radiator and use 2 of these fans. It's the 12" Mr. Gasket fan Part #720-1986. They are 1400 cfm each. Only $69 each. Worked great all last summer even on the hot & humid days. Some people run with just one fan but there is 2 there for a reason. I refused to run just 1.
