Black Plastic PVC

Anyone know where to find the black PVC bends? I've searched Lowe's, Menards, and Home Depot. All they have are the white plastic. I'm using it to turn my intake down to put the filter where the stock smic used to be, and the white plastic looks retarded. I can paint it, but I'd rather just get something that is already black. I see people online with the black stuff, but I can not find it anywhere.

Re: Black Plastic PVC

I dont recall ever seeing it in a store but I know what you are talking about.

I would just buy the white and dye it with a packet of RIT clothing dye. I assume it would work on PVC since it works on other plastics. The dye costs a buck or two at any craft store or even Wal Mart.

Re: Black Plastic PVC

Its not PVC. Its ABS plastic. I used it in my grand prix. Got it at either home depot or ace hardware

Re: Black Plastic PVC

Black ABS plastic is safe to use, but PVC piping emits a corosive gas when it gets hot so its harmful to your engine if used for intake piping.
