7bolt auto to 6bolt auto

my 93 talon has the stock 7bolt with auto tranny and i want to swap in a 6bolt and keep it auto.. what is needed to swap the motors and keep the 7bolt auto tranny?

i believe all you need is 6 bolt flex plate that t.conveter mounts. make sure you have the alignment bushing thing at the end of crankshaft. i'm not sure if 6 bolt and 7 bolt alignment bushings are the same.

we have all the parts to build a 6bolt motor.. and im not to trusting of the 7bolt..

7 bolt motors out of the 1993 don't issues with crank walk...

Its the motors from the 1995-1997 from the 2g that have the crank walk problem.

Its what you are using it for. If you are building a high hp car with built internals use 6 bolt, otherwise putting money and time into swapping seems pointless.

But thats just my 2 cents

well i think im gonna keep the 7bolt thats in it.. im putting eagle rods and weisco pistons in next week.. im gonna try to shoot for 500hp this spring. i guess if it goes ill swap a 6bolt then

Keep us updated on that, especially with an auto transmission.

I am thinking of taking a VR-4 galant and putting in an autotrans but wondered if the auto could take the hp and weight of the car.

i think it could hold up to the power and weight.. i think its importperformancetrans.com that makes some bullet proof parts for the autos
