fmic setup

I called a lil bit ago about having my upper ic pipe modded for my 3" gm maf to be up there as well as put on my hks bov. I was quoted 150 i believe after labor and what not. Anyway I was wondering how much more to turn that into a whole fmic setup.( i would need to buy the fmic, lower upper ic pipe, still mod the upper pipe, and then create a new lower ic pipe all off you) Can i have a quote on that? thanks-alex

What material do you want it out of?
How much power do we need to support with the system?
Are you keeping A/C?
Do you already have a HKS flange, or do we have to cut it off your pipe? What is that flange made of?
Are we making piping to a 2g throttle body elbow, or are we making it including that flange as well?
What turbo are we working with?
What intake are we working with?
What piping size are you looking for?
The typically FMIC runs $1000-1500 depending upon options such as piping material, coupler selection, intercooler used, and what flanges we have to source/come up with.
We like to use 304 SS for intercooler piping. The piping is also polished.

The 304 ss sounds good for piping. It is a t-25 turbo. Intake? ill probably get a new one if i go for moving the maf to the upper. 2.5" piping. My ac doesnt work so No you could remove that. As for power 300wheel is the max this car will ever see. It will go to the 2g throttle body elbow.

Anything else? the bov flange I am not sure what the material is but it would not seal when welded to the upper pipe I have on now but it did weld to it..

FMIC's aren't required on a t-25. Allan will say otherwise, but the factory sidemount is sufficient. At worst case senerio, upgrade the piping to the factory intercooler.
Do plan to upgrade the turbo size soon? For your application any standard (kit) available on the market would be more that sufficient. Just buy it from a good company.
FMIC on a t-25 car is something we wouldn't be interested in. Sorry.

So business isn't somethign you would want to do? Yes I plan on putting a t-28 on it and I already have aftermarket upper and lower hard ic piping. And I know any kit online will do but I figured I would give a local company some business. If you dont want it can I buy a fmic online and then just have you guys make the piping or?

Its not the matter of business, don't take me wrong. Just putting a FMIC on a t-25 isn't the most effective use of your money. We are here to help the community, sometimes that includes informing the customer of a potential "bad idea". Sorry we aren't a "yes" company.
A t-28 is a good upgrade to be working towards. My best bet would be to bring the car by so we can take a look at what you already have, what we can work off of, and what the end all goal of the car is.

Ok. I also have been finding out the problem with my car has been a boost leak. Thats what the minor studdering has always been from so i decided to get all new piping and a new intercooler itsself since im going to do that anyway. And if it still has a leak we know its hopefully from the turbo itself in whichcase I buy my t-28 and bolt it all right up and already have my fmic. So I figured I could fix the problem but be one step ahead of my plans by getting the fmic before the turbo because if i get the turbo and the leak is in the piping then I need to get a new fmic anyway for that turbo and to fix the leak.

Sorry I miss interpreted you. Ill stop by and well talk there if you would like and maybe we can find out the problem there since noone else could.
