Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
He was on his way home from his Brother's place with his dog (Jack) in the car. He was going around a corner, Jack jumped up onto his arm mid turn, causing him to slide up onto a curb. The dump tubes on his exhaust mani hang kinda low and caught the curb. It broke the weld at the flange for one of the wastegates, causing it to be really fucking loud. So now he has to pull the manifold and weld the flange back up.

How many more curbs do you need to hit before you get some decent tires for this thing? lol..

Conversely, how many purse dogs need to jump in your arms before you make them sit in the back?

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
So do you have v3 ecmlink, or are you using ecmlink lite for the evo I-III?

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Okay cool. I was just wondering if he is liking it. Not trying to go OT, just trying to get an opinion on it. I'm looking forward to the lite release for the 1g, and marks the only person I know with an evo I-III to ask about it haha.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
it is the light version for the evo. I does work good it is pretty much the same as dsmlink 2.5.
I have been talking to them about it for a while since I am the only on in the US that is running it and I am the only one ion the world so far to run the light ver. with 1600cc injectors and e-85. there are updates coming out for it soon also.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
I also got rain/wind gards they are the oem mitsu ones with all the clips still on them. I have been looking for a set for a long time. But every time they come up for sale they are missing the clips on them.
I got them a few weeks ago

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Ali and I went out to u pull it on wed for some parts for her car. Ended up finding a 1994 galant dohc 2.4 there the car was compleat on wed. So I ended up taking the off the t.b.,valve cover, cam gears off it. Then I ended up selling a few parts on wed and thurs to give me cash to go back out on fri morroing with ali and my dad ken to pull out the engine. Got the full thing for 200.00. It helps out that is is a dohc bottom end already so I don't have to plug up the extra holes on my sohc 2.4 I got a few years ago from a buddy.
Will take some pic tonight when I get home.

Sounds like its really coming along! I like the idea of the heat barrier gasket for the TB too.

Re: the evo 3 swap parts are coming
Hell that Mitsubishi VC is worth at least $30! Haha. Good luck on the 2.4 7 bolt build.
By the way, I thought you already had a powdercoated 2.4 block sitting around? Or was that a 2.0?
