Did a bunch of research and sounds like they aren't bad for the price at all. No more having to borrow others helmets. Soooo exciting

that's pretty normal pricing as far as I remember. Don't you wanna know if it fits or not before you buy it? The bob's cycle place sells them around that price too in roseville...?

Re: Bought a helmet finally, WOO!!
Looks like a decent helmet for the price, Brandon. I hope it is actually Snell certified and doesn't just exceed the rating standards. A real Snell rated helmet with have a label inside while one that just passes the Snell standards will only be labeled on the outside. Its worth checking into depending on the helmet requirements of the tracks you plan on racing at.

Re: Bought a helmet finally, WOO!!
Everywhere I read said it was Snell 2005 approved. I guess we'll see when it shows up.

There's basically the same one I got (different color). It says right there it has a Snell M2005 rating. So that's all I'm going off. I'll post up what I find once I actually get it.
Also I wanted to get a full faced one with Visor, in case I ever hop on a motorcycle, or run a 9.99 haha...

Re: Bought a helmet finally, WOO!!
Do any drag strips require a Snell SA rating or are they all ok with M?

Re: Bought a helmet finally, WOO!!
I was going off the '08 rule book as I don't have an '09 one.
It basically says anything quicker than 13.99 and you need a helmet. The Snell M rated helmets are allowed.
Then at 9.99 a full face w/ visor is required.
Then at 7.49 is when it needs to be Snell SA rated.

Re: Bought a helmet finally, WOO!!
As long as we're showing helmets, here's the same model as the one I bought not long ago. It matches my Kawi Ninja real well. Came with both the mirror shield and clear.

Re: Bought a helmet finally, WOO!!
Just an FYI, you really should try helmets on before buying them (maybe you did). If it's too loose it can come off and it sucks wearing an uncomfortable one.
But if your just wearing it to pass inspection you should be fine.

Re: Bought a helmet finally, WOO!!
If I drove a motorcycle daily, then I would have been more picky. Considering I'm wearing this thing 3-4 times a year, if it's not the most comfortable helmet ever, I will survive. But every review I've read on them, people loved them.
I've tried on various helmets, not this brand though, and Large is what I felt fit me best, so I just went with a large.
Your talking to a guy who didn't even see, nor test drive, his car before he bought it

Re: Bought a helmet finally, WOO!!
^ agreed, at least if your riding a motorcycyle. Loose helmets can be dangerous.
