If you aren't supposed to be here, but you are, and you get hurt, you kinda take your own chances if you get hurt. This reminds me of the guy who breaks into your house, trips over one of your kids toys, gets hurt and sues you, the home owner.

Ok let me pose another question for you all.
If you go to another country, say England, you witness a terrorist bombing. You decide you want to help and run towards the rubble to see if there are people that need your help. You end up helping a lot of people get out alive. Then you go back to your home country and develop an illness that is in direct relation to your heroics. But when you go and make a claim on your super awesome private insurance, they deny the claim due to the fact you were not in the country at the time. The government of the US cannot help you because you were not on their turf. What would you do? The bills start piling up, you cant go to work because your so sick that your hospitalized. The English government sets up a fund to help the people who provided effort so save the lives of the english citizens... but in the small print it says "Citizens only, no immegrants". Being that you are not a citizen, you get no coverage... How is this fair again? because thats whats happening.
And by the way, this is why the money is not an issue with this.
"The bill would pay for itself by closing a tax loophole on foreign companies with U.S. subsidiaries. Republicans say it creates a new entitlement and wastes taxpayer dollars. "The bill, if passed, would reopen the Victims Compensation Fund until 2031 - instead of litigation, victims could try to get money from the fund" (Sherman, 7/28). "
So you're mad the republicans closed a loop-hole that most likely wouldn't be exploited, yet as always, there is a slight chance it could? If you ask me, they just did their due diligence.

Wrong, this is not what's happening. These people you want to get help are not going home to Mexico and being denied by their super awesome private insurance. They want medical help here, from this country, which they are not a citizen of. Again, you are making up outlandish examples and twisting words to fill your desire.

Ok, Examples aside, How do you define a hero? do they have to be american to be a hero?
Honestly, the fact that the conservatives get so up in arms about 9/11 and getting the assholes that did this, im truely surprized that they would shit on the people that were HELPING out during the crisis. It makes you (conservatives) look like assholes, not patriots. I cant wait until november when the conservatives get pummeled at the election, then they can whine for two more years.

LOL. This whole thing is about the election, and I really doubt Obama will be back in.
We're such ass holes. Can I have all my money back now?

Let me pose a question for you all:
Can somebody get this bleeding heart liberal a glass of milk and some cookies so he'll stop whining?
Geez, Liberalism works!!!! Until you run out of other people's money!!!! And we are out!!!!
Let their home country do the right thing and prop up and support their fallen heroes in the name of their country. Because until they are legal here, they are not a member of ours!!!!

What does being a hero have to do with anything? They were here illegally any way you look at it, no matter what good or bad they have done, no matter what you want to call them. Even you yourself can not deny that. If you do then maybe you should look again at the very laws you want to get rid of.

It's time you learn to call things what they are. Illegal is illegal, this country needs to stop turning a cheek to things that are wrong because a small fraction of it MAY be right.

Wait, what? I'm glad you lump your opposition into one group when the entire thing is a failure.

Reason: Fixed a quote tag
"You don't have a clue. You couldn't get a clue during the clue mating season in a field full of horny clues if you smeared your body with clue musk and did the clue mating dance."
I just can't believe that Tom is sticking up for the mythical hero in this case. I thought all you lefties believe that we brought this on ourselves by way of our tyrannical aggression and dominance to the peaceful middle east and we simply got our just reward for such. In which case there are no heros, just racist, white homophobic executives living in the suburbs who are intolerant to the greater good of the world.

That's because Tom thinks we're playing with mythical money. It just falls out of the sky.
