All of our powder coating services include basic prep work including chemical stripping, media blasting or washing as needed and all thread plugging & taping off of any areas you don’t want coated.
We DO NOT disassemble parts. It is your responsibility to disassemble your parts down to the point where it would be ready to go in the oven.
Available Colors:
We make every effort to have as much variety of colors in stock as possible but due to the huge range of colors and different gloss levels it is impossible for us to have everything. There is a $15 charge to special order a standard color and $25 for a specialty color we do not have in stock. All candy & some metallic colors are two stage powders.
There are over 6,500 total colors available to choose from!
If a wheel has gouges in it, what is the best consumer product to fill these in before powdercoating?
It depends how deep they are. Keep in mind when they're stripped before coating it will get rid of any surface blemishes and scratches that are in the finish and not down to the metal.
I wouldn't recommend anything short of professional wheel repair for a damaged wheel. Too much is riding on the integrity of a wheel, literally. I bent/flatened a stock X wheel and it was only $125 to repair and refinish.
