no, a 90 nt would not would not work in a 92 tsi. Fuel, timing, Boost, and vaccum would be way off. I think the wiring is diff from a 90. I believe you can get any 91-94 turbo ecu. Auto doesn't matter though.

On turbo cars with MT, you will need a MT ECU.

It will be off slightly, but it would work to limp it around. The car will run a little rich and the timing would be off a little. Nothing huge, but I wouldn't want to run it like that for any length of time.

I fucking already said it won't. Please don't ask questions that have already been answered. It won't work well for a few reasons...mainly different injectors and turbo on the 1G AT cars compared to the MT 1G's.

The turbo makes no difference to the ECU, but it will run about 15% rich. Like I said, it will run, but I wouldn't want to run it like that for long. At cruise it should be able to fix itself because it checks the O2 sensor, but at WOT it will be off.

Oh ok...so you shouldn't have to retune your car this summer with your larger turbo :stick:

Auto cars have different cams, turbos, and injectors so it will be off. I don't know what the hell I was thinking above... Any 91-94 turbo 5-speed ecu will work. It is FWD and AWD that is interchangable. Search junk yards on car-part.com.

The difference between a 13g and a 14b is very small. It wouldn't really affect the performance at all. 11 psi on a 13g and 14b is going to be a nearly identical mass of air. I ran both the 13g and 14b on the same car. I didn't notice any difference when I switched. Hell the small 16g was virtually identical too except that it held boost a tad longer.

You need to do a lot of reading if you think that the stock boost guage does shit!! All that is doing is guessing the boost by the amount of air that goes in the car. Change anything and it will be off.

talk to LIGHTNINGGSX. He can fix it for you or tell you if you should get another ECU.

Yeah...either get the caps replaced if the board isn't already eroded or just buy a used one.
