Whats it worth? 1880s Flyers (Pic Heavy)

My Mom gave me a bunch of flyers/advertisements/postcards that she had found in a house that she renovated about 30 years ago. They were all bundled together, and the house had some fire damage. I know most of these aren't in great shape, some are in pretty decent condition.

Most of the cards about aroun 3"x5", some are smaller, some are larger. A few of the objects look like they are holiday cards, and a few look like "merits" or "rewards" that would be handed out to a student by a teacher.

Anyway, I thought this stuff was pretty interesting.

One of my favorites is this one...

I LOL'd @ "lameness"

I've been googling the names of the companies, and so far I haven't found too much.

Although in this picture, you can see some baseball cards.

I found some sites that sell these cards, and some of these cards go from $200 to $1900. O_O I'm still researching these.

Onto a few of the pics that I took.

Anyone know who I might be able to contact to see if any other things I have might be of value?

I would try an antique store of some sorts, maybe one that buys?? they might able to send you in the right direction. I love old stuff like this, especially old photographs gives me a chills almost.

Some of that stuff might make decent decoration if framed. There is some pretty badass stuff in there!

Well I found out that three of those baseball cards are worth some cash. $300, $350, and one is worth about $500.

As for the flyers, I'm still doing research.

I was thinking Antique Roadshow as well. They're in good shape for being over 100 years old, someone is going to want them, just a matter of finding a buyer.

Pawn Shops are a joke, they will never tell you what the actual value is. They will tell you what they would pay for it, to in turn, re-sell it for a profit. It may be worth contacting a professional apprasier.

Jakey is on the money, avoid pawn shops.

Having once worked in the "gently used" "previously experienced" industry, pawn shops and the like shoot for a 60% mark up on anything they buy.

No way in hell am I going to a pawn shop. I was looking more along the lines of an appraiser.

And if Antiques Roadshow comes to MN, I'll definitely be going, with a 'style shirt on with a smoke hanging outta my mouth!
