Talon vs Deer

Well I finally had it running pretty good and took it out for a test drive last night. On the way back I saw a big doe out of the corner of my eye and immediately swerved but couldn't avoid it. Some how she bounced off the fender, missed the door and nailed the rear quarter. The car got knocked a little sideways, but I was impressed how it corrected quickly.

I just painted this thing and fixed some dents about two months ago. I'm going to have to take it to the body shop now. If you see this Julian, I'm sorry I tried my best!

that sucks but dosnt look to bad, a new fender and a little body work on the back and some paint and your god to go. While your painting get rid of that nasty blue on your interior. How fun is it using that child seat in a tiny 2 door?

Re: Talon vs Deer

Unfortunately, the paint flaked right off to bare metal. I do have a spare fender so no biggie there. I've got a connection with a body shop so I'm going there tomorrow.

The interior was like that when I got it but it's starting to look pretty bad. Getting my daughter in and out is not as bad as you'd think once they face forward. In 3 months I'll have my son back there too so that'll be interesting.

My co-worker has been giving me a lot of crap on the hood as well. Think I should just paint it blue?

yes. Otherwise it looks like you're trying to pull of the 'CF hood look' without having a cf hood.

Paint the whole car with bed liner. You won't have to worry about no dents or anything. Lol just kidding.

So.... did you put the deer on the top of the car? DSMStyle Roadkill Cookout in the near future?
If i ever hit a deer, its going on the top of the truck. figure im paying for it with the damages to the car.

Surprised the mirror is still there. It's not bad, definitely could have been much worse.

Re: Talon vs Deer

I'm going to have them pull it out and I'll paint it myself again. Estimate was $300 - $400 primed. Guess I'll paint the hood while I'm at it. Shop guy gave me crap too but said my garage paint job wasn't all that bad.
