Plug for stock oil feed
Where do you guys get little plugs for the stock oil feed location off the head? I need to plug it because I'm feeding of the filter housing now. I heard it was a M10 x 1.25 bolt, but I bought one and it's the wrong thread. Plus it's long as hell because no one had short stubby ones. Anyone got a good place they know of that I can get one from?

Re: Plug for stock oil feed
Not sure on the size but if you have a 7 bolt head laying around or know where there is one that is bad just snag the bolt out of it. I can post a size later when I go to work on my car.

I just used a misc DSM bolt I had laying around with a copper crush washer, works fine.

Re: Plug for stock oil feed
You could also try to find an oil drain plug that size or just cut down a longer bolt.

10mm x 1.25 is the correct size.

Re: Plug for stock oil feed
Well that's wierd. I found my original banjo bolt, and it is a M10 x 1.0. I tried a 1.25 already, but obviouslly it did't work. I am having a hell of a time finding an M10 x 1.0 bolt anywhere, I've had zero luck. Such a simple thing is turning into a PITA!

Napa has them... If you cant find one there let me know and I can bring one with me tomorrow up to the cities area.
I remember the banjo bolt was very fine thread but the plug I pulled out of a stock head had a M10 x 1.25 bolt in it. Wierd~

Re: Plug for stock oil feed
Have you gone to Mitsu looking for the stock plug used on 2G's?

Re: Plug for stock oil feed
Chris which plug is that? I didn't know they made any plugs for these. The only thing I was wondering was if the N/A 1g's came with a plug, or is it a totally different casting without that hole there?
Also I went to Napa and gotta M10 x 1.25. Then I brought it home and it wouldn't screw in. Then later on I found my Banjo bolt, and compared them and the threads were different. So I brought it in and found out it's an M10 x 1.0. I wonder it the previous owner put in the wrong thread banjo bolt at some point, and kinda rethreaded the head in doing so? Either way the head is threaded for 1.0 now, so I need a 1.0 bolt.
I found a grease fitting in the 1.0 thread, so I put that in there as a temp fix. It works kinda, but it leaks a tad out the little ball on the tip.
