Speedglass Sale
So, do you want to take your dsm to the next level? That factory glass weighs ALOT. Replace it with speedglass!
We just setup an account with produces of speedglass for all the dsm's, 3s's, and a variety of other imports and of course domestic applications.
Call or post for inquiries.
You can buy full kits, or individual windows, 4 different thickness's available. If you aren't sure what thickness you need, we'll let you know.
This glass is molded to factory fit, just a little bit oversized which allows you to trim to for an exact fit.
We'll be ordering some for the talon once the cage is done.
I am 90% sure this isn't road legal, but so are 75% of the 'mods' on dsms.

Re: Speedglass Sale
Rear glass, stock thickness?
Legality shouldn't be a problem with all except replacing the windshield.

Re: Speedglass Sale
yeah, most of the windows are fine with a 1/8" or 3/16" thickness (3/16" is close to factory) the doors and side windows are a hair under 3/16" and the factory windshield is a hair over 3/16" inch. We don't have johns rear hatch glass out yet, as we aren't sure if we are going with a fiberglass setup or not (that way we don't have to pull it if we don't have to).
PRICES:
1/8" rear window $284.00 (retail $355.00) 20% off retail.
3/16" rear window $320.00 (retail $400.00) 20% off.
side quarter windows:
1/8" $88.00 Each (retail $110.00 each) 20% off.
3/16" $96.00 Each (retail $120.00 each) 20% off.
doors:
1/8" $112.00 each ($140.00 retail each) 20% off.
3/16" $136.00 each ($170.00 retail each) 20% off.
Full glass kit:
3/16" windshield, 1/8 windows.
Includes: Both door windows, both rear quarter windows, back window, windshield.
$903.60 (Retail $1129.50) 20% off.
all prices plus freight, I can probably have it drop shipped to your door.
I can also get all of the windows in .093" thickness (except windshield) and 1/4" thickness.
Flad pre-trimmed speedglass also available, as well as lexan.
The speedglass has a really sweet coating on it, we have a display at the shop where you can go to town on it with steel wool if you want.

Re: Speedglass Sale
We'll know on the side windows and door windows when we get johns kit ordered. The front windshield has an *cough* accident on removal, and the rear might just go with the hatch.
Usually a speedglass window of equal thickness is 50% less weight.
A factory drivers side window weighs 8.2 lbs.
So that would be roughly a 8.2lb weight savings if you replaced both windows.
the rear windows (rear 1/4's) are about 2 lbs.
So again if you replace both that'll be about 2 lbs.
That back window is VERY heavy, so is that windshield...thats where the majority gains will be.

Re: Speedglass Sale
Would the average cop be able to tell the difference If I had these installed? I have crank up windows would there be any problems with them?

Re: Speedglass Sale
So, Josh how long do you think you'll be having this sale? I just may have to pick up a windshield and rear window.

Yeah we can try to time it that way.

Re: Speedglass Sale
Devon once told me that in a 1G, if you replaced all but the windshield it was good for 155lbs.
