Headlights
What are everyone's opinions on these bulbs: Silverstars and all the different kinds of PIAA bulbs that you can get?

Re: Headlights
I will tell you what 99% of the people will say.
Silverstars FTW.
The rest are alright, but silverstars are pretty much the only thing that is better than stock besides HID's.

Re: Headlights
The silverstar line of bulbs is great, especially for an auto parts brand. They are 99.9% better than stock.

Re: Headlights
I had silverstars in my accord, before i had hids, they own. Right now, i have them on my dsm, till i got into that front end crash. But, if I don't go hid soon, i'll get them again. The light output of them exceed stock a million times over, especially aimed up just a SLIGHT bit.

Re: Headlights
Didn't Enes have a set of Silverstars melt in his car a couple years ago?

Re: Headlights
Silverstars melted the electrical plugs on my galant.
If anyone wants a set of silverstars that came off my 01 galant, they are sitting in my garage because I can't use them.

Re: Headlights
Silverstars are also known not to last very long, so you have to keep buying a 35 dollars worth of bulbs every six months.

Re: Headlights
I put those in my truck last winter. They work awesome, but I've already had to replace one. I wasn't too happy about that. Especially for the price I paid.

Re: Headlights
The more light output the shorter the life, Slyvania even says they won't last as long. I haven't had any burn out on me, I had them in my DSM for over 2 years. I installed them for highbeams on my S2k (HID low) and love them again. I plan on buying them for whatever car I own, they are great and worth the extra price.

Re: Headlights
Any other experience with PIAAs? Not worth it? Why are they more (like $50-$90 per pair)? Anybody with a set of H3 Silverstars laying around they want to get rid of?

Re: Headlights
I did really like them when they were in my eclipse, but they must run hotter or something because when I bought them for the galant, the plastic plug that plugs into the bulb just melted after about 3 months. Had to buy all new plugs from mitsu.

Re: Headlights
eBay has some pretty good pricing on Silverstars, I got 2 brand new H1 bulbs for $25 shipped.

Re: Headlights
I like the bulbs from Luminics, they aren't very expensive, aren't cheaply made, and last a long time.
